On Friday, June 25th, 2021 at 11:19 p.m., officers from the Central Precinct responded to a shooting near the area of Northwest 4th Avenue and Couch Street in an area of Old Town, referred to as the Entertainment District. Officers arrived to a chaotic scene with patrons flooding out of a nearby bar. Security in the area told officers that there was a shooting inside and around an area nightclub.
Officers entered the nightclub and found no one injured inside and no evidence that a shooting occurred inside the location.
Officers were able to locate and establish multiple shooting scenes that extended from Northwest 4th and Couch to Northwest 5th and Davis. Officers recovered over 28 shell casings of mixed calibers and found 8 unoccupied vehicles with bullet strikes. There were an estimated 500 people in the area at the time of shooting.
A short time later two adult male victims walked into an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
The Enhanced Community Safety Team (ECST) was unavailable to respond to the scene as they were investigating an unrelated shooting that occurred in East Precinct earlier in the evening but will be following up in this incident.
