MORRISTOWN, NJ – The Mayo Performing Arts Center is hosting an online lecture/discussion regarding the culture and legacy of Hip Hop music.
The discussion will be led by Wes Jackson, founder of the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival, professor, music producer and entrepreneur. According to organizers, the discussion will focus on the 4 Elements (DJ, MC, B-Boy/B-Girl, Graffiti). And finally, connect the dots between Kanye West and Run-DMC. The more knowledgeable will leave with some thoughts to chew on. Novices will leave with a deeper appreciation for the billion-dollar industry that influences sports, politics, film, TV as well as music, they said.
