Tisakorean – “Old School Cash”
Known for his chaotically choppy flow and tracks that have reignited Texas dance rap, Tisakorean is also an impressive producer in his own right. He self-produces almost all of his own music, and his style consists of laying pounding drums over hypnotic melodies in a way that’s reminiscent of Souljaboytellem.com. On “Old School Cash,” the Houston triple threat brushes up on his sampling, blending together two Earth, Wind and Fire flips (“Can’t Let Go” and “Serpentine Fire”) and topping the mix off with blaring 808s. It’s simple yet mesmerizing.
