Before they were famous, Adam and Judd shared an apartment in the Valley in Los Angeles. Judd explained, “He just left, like he was going to come back, but he just didn’t come back.”

2. Andrew Garfield, Eddie Redmayne, and Jamie Dornan

Connie and Lauren were in an acting class together, where they became good friends. Then, together they decided to move out to LA and give Hollywood a shot. Back when Milo and Penn were filming Bedford Diaries, they shared an apartment in NYC. Milo joked that because Penn was only 19 at the time, Milo would give Penn his ID when they would go out with friends. Milo said he’d make sure Penn got into whatever club or bar they were going to, wait 15 minutes, and then try to enter using his passport.

Raven and Lindsay first met on the set of a fashion shoot, and they got along instantly. Raven suggested that since they both weren’t attending college, they could still get a “roommate experience” and live together. She also shared that Lindsay got “real busy” with work so she wasn’t around much, but Lindsay kept all her clothes and shoes in the apartment and paid 14 months worth of rent.

7. Mae Whitman and Miles Heizer

Mae and Miles became super close while playing siblings on Parenthood and they started living together. Back in 2014, Mae told Glamour, “He’s lived with me for two years. He’s pretty special. I’ll kill him before I let him leave. He’s the most talented musician and actor. I see him taking off — not to mention he’s crazy hot, which is gross ’cause he’s like my little brother. I envision wanting to live in a house next to him for my whole life and grow old down the street from him. I want our families to always be entwined.”

8. Jonah Hill and Justin Long

Jonah and Justin lived together before they made it big. Justin told Andy Cohen that the best part of living together was that they’d “laugh like hyenas,” but the worst part was that they were “equally pretty messy.”

Eventually, this whole endeavor served as the inspiration for Wes’s first feature film, Bottle Rocket

During Glee‘s six-season run, Jenna and Kevin became best friends (and still are!). They became so close that they ended up sharing a house together, which also became the party spot for the cast. In Naya Rivera’s book, Sorry Not Sorry, she recalled Jenna and Kevin’s house as being “the Love Nest,” a name that stuck after a tabloid wrote about them. Naya also shared little tidbits from their big cast parties and said, “What happens at the Love Nest stays at the Love Nest.”

Chase and Rudy lived together while they filmed Season 1 of Outer Banks, and the rest of the cast was also in close proximity. Chase told Refinery 29, “Rudy and I were roommates. [Jonathan] lived down the hall. Maddie was a floor below us. Austin [North] was three doors down. In our house, we had this giant beanbag chair, and whether it was UFC fights or jamming out to music, or going to the beach, there was so much to do. … It was a constant party, hanging out with each other. You never knew who was going to be asleep in the living room in the morning.”

13. Robert Downey Jr. and Keifer Sutherland

Robert and Keifer stayed in an apartment together during the 1980s, back when they were both trying to get cast in movies. Back at the beginning of The Vampire Diaries, Nina and Sara lived together while they filmed the series in Atlanta. Despite Sara playing Nina’s aunt on the show, she told Teen Vogue that Nina was like her real-life family too. She also shared, “Nina is such a great roommate. We have our own bathrooms, so it’s never an issue if one of us wants to take a long shower. And we both make grocery trips whenever we have time and just share everything. We’re both really easy-going. We try to help each other stay healthy, but I usually cave and bring chocolate into the apartment.”

Glen and Chord lived together at the same time Chord was still filming Glee and Ryan Murphy was trying to cast Scream Queens. Ryan told E! that he had no idea what actor he wanted to play the part of Chad Radwell, but his co-producer, Ian Brennan, said, “I know this guy Glen Powell, who’s roommates with Chord Overstreet, and I’ve been out with him and I’ve seen him do sort of improv stuff. Michael and Danny actually met in college at the University of California in Santa Barbara back in 1966 and then became roommates two years later. Michael told The Talks, “It’s tough when you get into show business and try to find good friends. People are goofy about the movie business, so you end up counting on friends you knew before you were successful. It is harder to make new friends because you are a little more cautious.”

Back when they were on The Mickey Mouse Club together, Ryan had to move into Justin’s home because the show shot in the US but Ryan’s mother had to keep working in Canada.
