Entertainment venues like indoor trampoline parks and bowling alleys are now allowed to run at half-capacity.
Businesses are excited about the change. But due to social distancing, Owner of New Hope Bowl Tom Bender admits it won’t make a huge difference.
“Right now we don’t put more than 5 people on a lane,” said Bender. “We keep an empty lane in between each group, even if they’re together. Whereas now starting Tuesday, we can probably put a group of 6 or 7 next to each other instead of spacing them out so far.”
Staff at Urban Air in Plymouth they may have to still turn away people to maintain social distance.
“We want to make sure we have enough room for them to be around. Big enough for them to stay apart from each other,” explained Archuate Malle, the assistant general manager.
The relaxed restrictions came after Gov. Tim Walz cited lower COVID-19 cases and less strained hospitals.
