Orange is the New Black actress Laverne Cox has a twin brother, M Lamar, who made an important cameo on the Netflix series. Cox played Sophia Burset, a trans woman, and in the episode that tells her character’s backstory, Lamar stepped in to play the character pre-transition. While Lamar isn’t a professional actor, he does have experience in the arts as he is a successful composer, musician, and artist. Although the twins pulled off playing the same character on TV, their style in real life couldn’t be more different—Cox is all about the glam, while her brother prefers a goth look.
